Cub Scout Pack 75 is divided into smaller groups called dens. |
All of the Cub Scouts in each den are about the same age and in the same grade. Some may even go to the same school. |
Tigers (7 yrs old / 1st grade)
Tigers work closely with their parents under the guidance of an adult Den Leader in weekly meetings to earn his Tiger badge. Tigers learn the Scout Oath, the Scout law, Cub Scout sign and Cub Scout salute. Tiger scouts must earn six required adventure belt loops and one elective adventure belt loop. Once all belt loops have been earned, the Scout will receive his Tiger badge.
Wolves (8 yrs old / 2nd grade)
Wolf scouts work with an adult Den Leader in weekly meetings and with his parents to earn his Wolf Badge. Wolf scouts earn their Wolf badge by completing seven adventures. Wolf scouts must earn six required adventure belt loops and one elective adventure belt loop. Once all belt loops have been earned, the Scout will receive his Wolf badge.
Bears (9 yrs old / 3rd grade)
Bear scouts work with an adult Den Leader in weekly meetings and with his parents to earn his Bear Badge. Bear scouts earn their Bear badge by completing seven adventures. Bear scouts must earn six required adventure belt loops and one elective adventure belt loop. Once all belt loops have been earned, the Scout will receive his Bear badge.
Webelos (10 yrs old / 4th grade)
Webelos scouts work with an adult Den Leader in weekly meetings and with his parents to earn his Webelos Badge. Webelos scouts must be active in their den for three months and complete seven adventures. Webelos scouts must earn five required adventure belt loops and two elective adventure belt loops. Once all belt loops have been earned, the Scout will receive his Webelos badge.
Arrow of Light (11 yrs old / 5th grade)
The highest Cub Scout rank, the Arrow of Light, is earned by scouts who are active in their den for six months and complete seven adventures. Arrow of Light scouts must earn four required adventure pins and three elective adventure pins. Once all pins have been earned, the Scout will receive his Arrow of Light badge. The Arrow of Light is the only Cub Scout badge that can be worn on the Boy Scout uniform. A square knot is worn above the left pocket of adult leaders who earned the Arrow of Light as a Cub Scout.
